Sandyview Farms is a family business that was started on the farm back in 1987. The founders of the company, Gerald and Selma Gitzel, were local dairy farmers in the Garden Valley area for many years. The farm was located on the original homestead of the parents of Gerald, Rudolf and Elizabeth Gitzel. It was on the farm that Gerald learned his skills of making sausage. The one product that started it all for Sandyview Farms, “the meat processors”, was the Bratwurst sausage. This recipe has been in the family for many many years. As the business grew, more products were developed. Currently we process over 20 different quality products of our own. Along with producing many different kinds of sausage, we also have a great selection of fresh meats, deli meats, jerky and ready made foods. All Sandyview products are processed with no Fillers or MSG.
